RoR Developer

To support our team we are looking for a strong Ruby on Rails developer. You will be working on extending and maintaining backend functionalities for a long running project, together with our experienced team of developers.

Job description

As part of our developer team you will be working on maintaining our existing codebase and adding new features for our project. You will be working on a single project and have opportunities for self development.

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience in developing applications with Ruby on Rails / Ruby
• Background in computer science
• You implemented APIs and have used third party APIs in rails applications
• Expertise in working with RDS, NoSql databases
• Clear understanding of JQuery, Bootstrap 3+, Ajax and json libraries
• Github version control and Rake/Capistrano live experience
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Result oriented, ability to think out of the box

Good to have

• Working knowledge of AWS cloud platforms
• Experience with Agile Methodology and well versed with tools like Jira
• Experience with modern javascript frameworks
• Experience with Redis and Sidekiq
• Basic knowledge of batch scripts
